About the Founder
I’m Filippo Dall’Asta – a Gypsy Jazz guitarist, composer, and bandleader.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve performed at international festivals and venues including Glastonbury Festival, the London Jazz Festival, and the Royal Albert Hall.
I’ve toured across the US, UK, Italy, France, Spain, Malta, Russia, and Sweden, and had the honor of sharing the stage with world-class musicians like Stochelo Rosenberg, Joscho Stephan, Wawau Adler, Lollo Meier, and many more.
But I know firsthand how hard it is to make a living as a musician.
Behind every performance are hours of admin: researching venues, chasing promoters, and sending endless emails that often go unanswered. It’s frustrating, and it keeps too many talented musicians from getting paid to do what they love.
That’s why I created GigFinder. After working with hundreds of musicians through my 100 Gigs Workshop and Master Accelerator programs – from rock, pop, and funk to folk, jazz, and singer-songwriters – I saw the same struggle everywhere: too much admin, not enough gigs.
So I teamed up with an incredible group of developers and musicians to build the tool I wish I had when I started.
